Group Programs

Group programs are an ideal way to learn and develop new skills and capacities with the support and encouragement of others in the group social context.

SBH Disability Services runs various group programs for children, teens and adults, throughout the year.

Family Wellness Program

The Family Wellness Program is an initiative that provides support to the entire SBH community.

It does this by delivering social work services not only to people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus, but also to the people closest to them, such as parents, siblings, and partners. This approach ensures that families are supported in their entirety.

Education Support - SDSS

SBH Disability Services receives government funding to support the educational opportunities, learning outcomes and personal development of children with spina bifida and /or hydrocephalus and related conditions.

Organisations are funded under 3-year agreements for the funding categories (1) school support services and (2) resource centre services and 1-year agreements for (3) specialised equipment. The current 3-year agreement period for SDSS funding is 2019–2021.
